  • the naked human body is an erotic trigger, hence the need to wear clothing. You clearly have never heard of good naked and bad naked. The naked human body is not innately provocative, it's just that the vast majority of the examples we see of it in the media are meant to be erotic.

  • Agreed. It seemed like the entire point of Avatar was to get lost in the beautiful world (there certainly wasn't much plot to get lost in), so the 3D was purposeful. Roger Ebert wrote a great article about this:Why I Hate 3-D (And You Should Too)

  • Just a tangent on nicknames: It happens infrequently, but I hate it when I'm introduced to someone by a weird nickname that I feel uncomfortable using and then have no idea what to call them.
